The Gingerbread Phonics Crafts were a wonderful addition to my phonics instruction, especially for my students with autism. The crafts were not only engaging but also provided a hands-on approach to reinforce critical skills like letter recognition, letter sounds, and CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. The gingerbread theme made learning feel festive and fun, which kept my students excited to participate. The visuals were clear and supported the learning process, making it easier for my students to connect letters with sounds. The interactive, craft-based format allowed them to actively engage with the material while practicing their phonics skills. I loved how easy it was to prep—everything was simple to put together and required minimal time. Plus, the craft element helped students with fine motor skills as they worked on cutting, pasting, and assembling the gingerbread figures. Highly recommend these crafts for any classroom focusing on early literacy, especially for students who thrive with interactive, creative activities!

This was a great additional resource and fun craft for my gingerbread theme. Kiddos were so enjoying doing their 'thing' with the cookie sheets and gingerbread cookies. Fun.
